Our journey into the world of automotive started in 2014 at a pawn shop. I was buying a Nikon D3100 camera that I saw an ad for on Craigslist. I was consumed. Every day, I would take that little D3100 with me to the car dealership I was making service phone calls for. Any chance I got, I would go into the back lot and would attempt to take pictures and videos to learn how it worked. Eventually, I got my roommate at the time to put on his finest collared shirt and take one of the cars with me to a nearby lake to shoot the first commercial “RAKA” would ever produce. Naturally, the entire video was blue (I had no idea what white balance was), the car was dirty, the shots were shaky.

Over the next few years, my business partner and I slowly built up our knowledge and equipment. It was a slow process that we never gave up on. Always trying to make the next video better than the last, applying any new knowledge we found in a book or trick we learned from YouTube.

And finally, in 2018, we started RAKA VISUALS. We bought our camera van (The CineVan) at the beginning of 2020 just before the COVID pandemic and have been continually adding to our kit to provide the best vehicle tracking equipment we can.

Since then, we have had the honor to work with some amazing companies and creatives alike, all over the country.

Creating compelling visuals for the automotive industry is what we do, and we love what we do.
